Since 2012 with her appointment to the International Olympic Committee’s Working Group for Prevention of Harassment and Abuse in Sports Andrea started her journey supporting individuals, organizations, projects and initiatives in the area of safe sport solely on pro-bono bases.

Before #MeTooMovement started she has been executing the work in the background- revising documents, drafting and revising policies and procedures related to safeguarding in sports and working on multi-disciplinary teams committed to this cause thus being one of the pioneers in legal field working on this cause.
She is a co-author of the IOC Consensus Statement of Prevention of Harassment and Abuse in Sports (2016) and member of the IOC Working Group of Prevention of Harassment and Abuse in Sport safeguarding initiative and contributed to various policies and guidelines, including drafting of the IOC Toolkit participating in IOC Safeguarding Webinars for International Federations as expert on safeguarding policies and procedures for international competitions. She published this year the “Tone from the Top: The Role of General Counsel on Prevention of Harassment and Abuse in International Sports”, Frontiers (2021).
Andrea’s Sports Law Solutions
Andrea’s Sports Law Solutions® initiative in the prevention of harassments and abuse remains in the background of some influential projects on safeguarding in sports. Only occasionally she speaks publicly on the pro-bono work she is doing such as at the Global General Counsel Summit in Zurich (June 2022) and Global General Counsel Summit in London (May 2019) where she address workplace wellbeing with global general counsel, and their role dealing with the C-Suite and Board of Directors and in Global General Counsel Summit in Zurich (2022).
She appeared as a speaker for the Safe Sport Conference in Madrid and the Annual Meeting of American Association of Sports Medicine and at Duke Law School seminar dedicated to this topic, a virtual symposium at Yale Law School (2020), and most recently as the Arbitrator and Mediator Conference organized by Sports Dispute Resolution Center of Canada (SDRCC).
